Why STEAM Matters
Children spend only 20% of their waking hours in school. Out-of-school programs nearly double the time young people spend exploring, questioning, and experimenting in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. With your support, Camp Fire makes these moments meaningful and fun.
Hands-On Learning in Action
Afterschool & Summer Day Camp (K–5):
Daily Tinker Spaces, Maker Spaces, and hands-on projects bring STEAM concepts to life and reinforce classroom learning in fun, informal ways.
Family Engagement Nights:
22 STEAM Nights hosted across 10 afterschool and summer camp sites each year.
Families join their children in hands-on experiments, creative projects, and interactive exploration.
Your Impact at a Glance
Thousands of hours of hands-on STEAM exploration each year
Families learning and discovering together
Students returning to school with confidence in STEAM subjects
Innovative, informal learning that prevents summer slide
