Dear GlobalGiving supporters,
We have exciting news to share with you.
This year, we launched a new project called the Sustainable Culinary School. As with the Indigenous Youth Achieving Dreams Project, this new project empowers local community members by building their skills, building community, and taking care of the earth. We hope that through this project, we can help prepare low-income Brazilians, primarily mothers who are heads of households, for culinary careers. With economic empowerment comes the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. It is also “sustainable” because many of the ingredients as well as energy used in the kitchen are grown and generated there as well in the neighboring community garden.
We invite you to take a look at our new project and share it with friends. We will be phasing out our Indigenous Youth GlobalGiving campaign soon, so we hope that if you believe in what we do, that you will consider extending your support to our new project.
