Teach For Pakistan Fellows - outstanding university graduates - teach full-time in public schools, accelerating learning for students who are on average 4 years behind grade-level. As our students strive to close the achievement gap, they face a shortage of everyday learning resources, e.g., stationery, reference books/materials and copying funds. Your Zakat, sadqa, and donations equip 12,000 students across rural Islamabad with the tools to build the tomorrow of their dreams.
Our teaching Fellows and students work tirelessly towards expanded learning and life outcomes. This requires materials that are hard for under-resourced schools and communities to finance, e.g., stationery, reference books, funds for printing and copying, and materials for projects and experiments. We need your help to ensure that, even in these trying times, our students' basic learning needs are not compromised.
While the architects who build inspiring classrooms - i.e., Fellows and students - are already hard at work, they need your help. We aim to equip every Teach For Pakistan classroom and student with the resources they need for everyday teaching and learning. Your Zakat/sadqa/donations will bridge the resource gap for 12,000 students and ensure they have the learning experience that all children deserve.
Studies from the developing world show that classrooms with adequate teaching and learning resources produce excellent academic outcomes, and that teachers usually pay out of pocket for these resources. Helping students succeed academically today means many more of them will complete schooling, and go on to lives and careers with dignity, choice and freedom.
