Kiambu Rehabilitation Project Progress Report:
Kiambu County is vastly populated and a number of residents vulnerable especially the youth. This is the reason behind Rehabilitation Centers acting as Aid Centers. PCEA-BEULAH partners with HiH EA to empower and train persons affected and exploited through drug abuse.
64 youths have been trained on life skills and entrepreneurship skills and have graduated from training. 10 youths have adopted business skills and started enterprises which have supported them to meet basic needs. It’s an advance that they have even explored other markets away from Kiambu County to market their enterprises one being Gikomba Market.
“I am proud to report that the youths have well received and adopted the life skill trainings that have converted a number of them in reducing drug consumption and attending church services.” Olive, a Church elder and a trainer at PCEA Beulah narrates. She oversees more youths convert from drug abuse and live admirable lives.
HiH EA plans to engage the youths to more entrepreneurial activities that will generate income to all youths with a mission and as a campaign to invite more vulnerable youths into joining the project. This is expected to set an example to the vulnerable youths that drug abuse is an attitude.
‘’So far, we youths highly appreciate the efforts to revive our well-being and we are much open to more engagements” Mashujaa Youth's remarks.
We heartily thank you for the support to end this menace and have healthy lives lived. More support towards engaging more youths is welcome.
Once again, we say Ahsante!
