Training and sales kit for visually impaired.

By Nasreen | Project Leader

Traditional livelihood programs for youth with visual impairments (VI) often channel candidates exclusively into passive or low-wage manufacturing roles. This project, "Empowering Voices, Enabling Futures," was launched to disrupt this paradigm. By providing comprehensive business training alongside customized, high-utility Sales Kits, we have equipped young VI individuals with the tools to become self-reliant micro-entrepreneurs.
Thanks to your visionary funding, this initiative has successfully blended accessible business education with physical assets, allowing beneficiaries to launch micro-enterprises immediately upon graduation. The program has achieved measurable success in raising income levels, building market confidence, and breaking down social biases regarding the capabilities of visually challenged individuals.
The training module was custom-designed for visually impaired learners, emphasizing audio-tactile pedagogy and screen-reader-accessible frameworks.
  • Financial Literacy & Cash Management: Utilizing accessible calculators and accounting software like NVDA-compatible Excel spreadsheets to track cash flow, calculate profit margins, and manage credit.
  • Customer Relations & Pitching: Interactive, simulation-based workshops focused on verbal communication, tone modulation, product demonstration, and handling pricing objections.
  • Digital Marketing & Mobile Banking: Training on smartphone accessibility features (TalkBack/VoiceOver) to execute digital payments via UPI/digital wallets, market products via broadcast messaging, and track customer orders.
