We train vulnerable youth in North Kivu through hands-on vocational training in carpentry, plumbing, tailoring, masonry, and cooking. In Goma and Bukavu, young people learn directly from master artisans and receive ongoing coaching. Your donation funds tools, training, and mentorship, helping them build stable livelihoods and escape poverty.
In North Kivu, especially in Goma and Bukavu, thousands of youth lack access to vocational training and jobs. Many are trapped in poverty, unemployment, and instability. Without practical skills like carpentry, plumbing, tailoring, or masonry, they cannot earn a living. This fuels frustration, vulnerability, and long-term economic hardship across communities already affected by conflict and limited opportunities.
This project provides hands-on youth skills training through a dual apprenticeship model. Young people train in real workshops with master artisans in trades like carpentry, plumbing, tailoring, masonry, and cooking. Alongside technical skills, they receive continuous coaching during and after training. This approach ensures they gain confidence, practical experience, and the ability to start earning income quickly and sustainably.
Youth skills training in North Kivu creates lasting change. Trained youth earn income, support their families, and reinvest in their communities. Over time, this reduces unemployment, strengthens local economies, and builds resilience against poverty and instability. Skilled young people become role models, creating a ripple effect that transforms entire communities in Goma, Bukavu, and surrounding villages.
