The TEEM Center continues to move forward with our calendar for 2025.  Although GlobalGiving donations haven't reached us yet, our programs continue to impact the community. In June, we had a Senior dance. In August, we partnered with the Baldwin elementary and middle school for a summer reading club. In addition, we hosted national comedian "Small Fire" for the community with an evening of laughs.  In September, we had a community health expo for all ages to teach about 8 specific areas to concentrate on for better health. Later in the month, a local loan officer from Lake-Osceola State Bank presented a home-buying seminar. The TEEM Center also hosted Dr. Claud Anderson's "Powernomics"2-part video series addressing building Black economic wealth. In October, an Apex Insurance rep came to discuss Medicare options and upcoing changes for seniors. In addition, local recording artist Gezelle Myers came to perform in a musical concert.

We are now collaborating with the middle schoolers in math to have them understand nonprofit planning, budgets, marketing, finances, audience, etc. The goal is for groups to come up with a nonprofit plan and goal. This particular project will last approximately 6 weeks. Michigan Works has also requested our services with a  goal to support our growth and help strengthen our community’s workforce through soft skill development, industry-recognized credentials, training, and ongoing support.

Lastly, our audiences have increased and the word is circulating that The TEEM Center is the place to be for youth, families, and seniors. We look forward to bigger and better opportunities to build our community in the near future.
