Hello,
Greetings from Uganda Unites.
Six years ago we set out on a mission to mentor the youth of Uganda to become change agents in their communities and rewrite the narrative of their country from a country with a cycle of violence to a country of unity and productivity.
Little by Little we have engaged more than 35,000 young people and 14,334 of them are actively engaging in community. You are part of this journey and your supports has enabled us to build bridges for young people and stop conflict.
We take great pride in our volunteers and mentees, starting and leading initiatives to transform their communities. This first quarter we shine a light on the work of Abdul Malik a volunteers, who inspired several other volunteers to participate in a blood donation drive and to clean his community as he celebrated his birthday. The were able to educate the community on hygiene, sanitation and climate change. This inspired the community and local law enforcement to join them in the cleaning and donation of blood.
This is a huge win for you and us because with your support, we were able to inspire a young leader to take action and address the issues affecting his community, while inspiring and others in the progress. However the success of young leaders like Malik is a reminder of the greater work that needs to be done and so, we keep going this first quarter of 2023, we have engaged 1,460 young people in 14 communities and we know that just like Malik they will be more young leaders transforming their communities.
