This project will train 250 unemployed and underserved youths in Nigeria with practical digital skills linked to today's remote job market. Participants will receive hands-on training in digital marketing, graphic design, web development, virtual assistance, and online freelancing. The program also provides mentorship, internet access, and career support to help young people secure sustainable income, employment, or self-employment opportunities.
Nigeria faces rising youth unemployment, yet many young people remain excluded from the growing digital economy due to limited access to computers, internet, mentorship, and affordable training. Graduates and school leavers often lack job-ready digital skills demanded by employers and remote work platforms. Without intervention, vulnerable youths remain trapped in poverty, dependency, and social instability despite increasing global demand for digital talent.
The project will deliver intensive digital literacy and employability training for 250 vulnerable youths through practical workshops led by experienced facilitators. Trainees will learn high-demand skills including content creation, digital marketing, graphic design, basic coding, and virtual assistance. Participants will also receive mentorship, career coaching, CV support, and guidance on accessing remote jobs, internships, and freelancing opportunities.
Over the long term, this project will create a generation of digitally skilled and economically independent young people capable of competing in the global workforce. Trained participants will increase their income, support their families, and contribute to community development. By expanding access to digital opportunities, the project will reduce unemployment, strengthen local economies, and help bridge the digital divide affecting underserved communities.
