Dear donors and supporters,
The past two years have been filled with challenges as we continue our work with refugees from Ukraine. Amidst the hardships, there are stories of resilience and hope that inspire us every day. I would like to share one such story with you—the story of Andrij, a 14-year-old boy who fled the war and arrived in one of the cities where we carry out our activities.
When Andrij first arrived with his sister and their aunt, who is now their primary caregiver, he faced immense uncertainty. He had left behind his home, his friends, and the life he knew. Everything was unfamiliar, and the challenges of adapting to a new country and language weighed heavily on him.
But through our project, Andrij found the support he needed to start a new chapter. He participated in our language and integration activities, and over time, he learned Polish. This allowed him not only to communicate more freely but also to make new friends and settle into his school. Andrij’s progress has been remarkable—he has adapted to his new surroundings and grown confident in facing the future.
His journey from fear and displacement to belonging and hope is a powerful testament to the importance of the work we are doing. Andrij's aunt recently told us how much he has changed, how his outlook has improved, and how well he is doing in school. His integration has also had a positive impact on his younger sister, who now looks up to him as a role model.
This success story is just one example of how your generosity is transforming lives. Thanks to your support, children like Andrij are overcoming the trauma of war and finding stability and happiness in a new environment.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. We look forward to sharing more stories of hope and change in the future.
Warm regards from Poland,
Dawid
