Mission: Tuition! 2019

Dear Friends,

How is it that we are at the end of another year - reviewing 2019!?

We can't tell you how grateful we are to each an every one of you who continue to support us in making our work possible. 
From the difficult position we found ourselves in at the end of 2018 we are so grateful to still be here serving the babies and children that rely on us. Thank you for making that possible. 

As the school year has ended for our children we recognize the challenges each one of them have faced and are so proud of each one of them for rising to the occassion in their own way.

This year you have helped us in educating the following children. 

4 children at an offsite preschool

1 child in a school for the disabled

2 children through First Grade

2 children through 3rd Grade

3 children through 4th Grade

1 child through 6th Grade

1 child through 7th Grade

2 children through 8th Grade

2 children through 10th Grade

As well as the 14 children that attend our onsite preschool. 

Now that school is out for the Summer, we have everyone home enjoying the warm weather.

Dear Valued Supporters,

Can you believe another 3 months has already passed since our last report?
We can't! Time seems to just fly when you have so many children achieving milestone and progressing through life around you. 

In July we piloted our first-ever Holiday Club where, with the guidance of Joanna Jones our CYCC manager, we identified "Camp Leaders" from the willing teens and young adults at TLC to lead the Holiday Club activities. These included, cheer-offs, self scripted skits, arts and crafts and much more! It was a great success and was hugely appreciated by us staff as it was the first school holiday without all the children under our feet during working hours. It was a super valuable learning experience for our teens and young adults in learning the dynamics of managing a group of children, activities and time. We saw so much growth happening through this program.

Now that school is back on the go all the children are back in the swing of things and getting on their way with the course-work and sports days as we approach the final months of the year. We were especially thrilled at the outstanding result one of our little girls had in her Art Eisteddfod participation this year, with a fantastic result of 92%. 

Our onsite pre-school and toddler class also continues to do wonders in helping our little ones acheive new milestones at their own pace. We are gerat advocates for the integral role that play and nature have in the learning environment of our little ones.
