While fulfilling the educational needs of the children in TLC's care, those awaiting placement into permanent families, TLC also supports the children who have, due to difficult circumstances, been adopted into the founding family over the years. This support is a vital aspect in helping them as they work towards becoming independent. You can help support our home as all these lives (little and not so little) continue on the road to achieving their dreams!
Over the 26 years of running TLC Children's Home, and placing over 900 vulnerable babies into forever families, there were a few children that never left the home. Being firm believers that no child should grow up in an institution, the Jarvis family made the ultimate commitment to these children and absorbed them into their own family with the agreement that TLC would continue to support them up to the point that these children and young adults become independent and self sufficient.
This is your opportunity to help TLC and the Jarvis family in educating the little ones in their care and the older, once vulnerable babies, but now thriving children. Being able to put these children through school is a vital step in enabling them to reach a point of independence so that they may in turn become well adjusted contributing members of society.
Having access to education is a basic human right which has a clear, long-term impact on the opportunities available to an individual as they join the world as a well adjusted and contributing member of society.
