Things are going well and very well !
First of all, with the support of 3 nutrition interns, we have collected the health data of almost all the children in school, that is to say about 1800 !
Thanks to this information, we have been able to identify the general state of health and especially to know to what extent the children suffer from malnutrition. Preliminary results indicate that less than 1% have health problems. For this reason, we are already working hand in hand with the health centers.
We also already have the first harvests from the school gardens! Lettuce, onions, beets, carrots, potatoes ... With the support of the interns we are making recipes so that the vegetables are incorporated in the best way in the lunch of the students.
We are also working with some "pilot" families to implement the school gardens into family gardens! Larger ones to cover the needs of each member of the family.
All this work is possible thanks to the technical team in the field, conducting training workshops in the communities and schools. We are very happy because we have been able to take a huge step forward, and we are sure that thanks to the implementation of family gardens we will contribute even more to the improvement of the health of the families in the North Postosi.
With your support we will achieve more
