Keeping NeedyFamilies Safe During the Monsoon
![]()
Dear Donor,
During this monsoon season, El Shaddai remained committed to protecting slum-dwelling families from the risks caused by heavy rains, flooding, waterlogging, and unsafe living conditions. Awareness sessions were conducted on monsoon safety, hygiene, safe drinking water, sanitation, waste disposal, and prevention of water-borne diseases. Families were encouraged to keep their surroundings clean, protect food and drinking water, and take necessary precautions during heavy rainfall.
Special attention was given to children, elderly persons, women, and other vulnerable community members. Families were guided on emergency preparedness, fire and electrical safety, and the importance of moving to safer locations when required. El Shaddai also supported vulnerable families in accessing essential services and appropriate assistance during the monsoon. The team encouraged community participation to identify local risks and respond quickly to emergencies.
During this period, the team also encouraged families to keep emergency supplies ready, avoid flooded areas, and report damaged electrical connections, unsafe structures, or other hazards immediately. These simple precautions helped families respond more safely to the challenges of the monsoon. Through these efforts, El Shaddai continues to stand with slum-dwelling families, helping them remain safe, healthy, and prepared throughout the monsoon season.
Together, we are building safer and more resilient communities where every family can face the monsoon with dignity, security, and hope.
With Gratitude
El Shaddai Family!
