In Goa, the monsoon season has always been challenging for the residents, women and children of slum areas as the brown water, and sometimes garbage pours into the open houses making it almost impossible to stay and sleep. Heavy rains cause waterlogging, which in turn gives birth to several mosquitoes and waterborne diseases that are hazardous to the residents' health. This monsoon El Shaddai wants to provide a safe and clean place to stay.
The living conditions in the Slums of Goa are bad; households are overcrowded and not in good condition at all, resulting in an unhygienic and undesirable environment. It is a poverty-associated area that is densely populated, and the quality of life is very poor. The situation in slums has become worse durin monsoon season. It is another challenge for the slum dwellers in their already difficult lives. Sadly, in our society, we do not pay attention to the slum conditions in these situations.
A home is not a reality for the less fortunate, who live in pitiful conditions with broken roofs or no roofs at all. Our society takes for granted these forms of infrastructure, such as houses. Lack of access to this type of infrastructure and a lack of safe living quarters severely limits the options available. Our goal is to help one thousand poor individuals and those from slum areas by providing them with Tarpaulin sheets, which will serve as temporary shelters during this monsoon season and
The project will provide thousands of displaced children with some basic needs such as tarpaulins, clothes, blankets, food, and other such aid relieves. Your support will go a long way relieving families from constantly wondering about sheltering and feeding their children to have basic needs.
