This Eid ul Adha, DWAF aims to provide Qurbani meat to 100 low-income Deaf families across Pakistan who are often excluded from mainstream relief due to poverty and communication barriers. Your support will help ensure that Deaf families can celebrate Eid with dignity and share a nutritious meal with their loved ones.
Many deaf families in Pakistan live in poverty and isolation. During Eid ul Adha, they are often overlooked in Qurbani distributions due to communication barriers and social exclusion. Most cannot afford meat throughout the year, and Eid passes without celebration. This lack of inclusion not only affects their nutrition but also deepens their sense of invisibility within the community.
DWAF will identify 100 vulnerable Deaf households and provide them with fresh, hygienically handled Qurbani meat during Eid ul Adha. Priority will be given to families facing severe financial hardship and limited access to other support. DWAF's community network will help ensure assistance reaches the intended families directly and with dignity.
Beyond providing food during Eid, the initiative strengthens DWAF's connection with vulnerable Deaf households who are often difficult for mainstream assistance programs to reach. These connections help identify families requiring further support, including skills development, employment referrals, education, healthcare, and social protection.
