Your Qurbani Reached Deaf Families

Thanks to the generosity of our GlobalGiving donors and supporters, the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) successfully distributed Qurbani meat to more than 500 deserving Deaf families across Pakistan, enabling them to celebrate Eid with dignity, joy, and nutritious meals.

For many of these families, Qurbani Eid is the only time in the entire year when they are able to eat meat. Living in extreme financial hardship, they simply cannot afford to buy meat during the rest of the year. They eagerly wait for Eid-ul-Adha, hoping that generous people will remember them and share the blessings of Qurbani.

Your support transformed that hope into reality. Parents were able to prepare a proper Eid meal for their children, and families gathered around their tables with happiness, knowing they were not forgotten. More than just providing food, your generosity gave these families a sense of dignity, inclusion, and equality, allowing them to celebrate Eid alongside everyone else.

On behalf of every family who benefited, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your trust in DWAF and for sharing your Qurbani with the Deaf community. Your compassion brought smiles, relief, and hope to hundreds of homes.

Qurbani for the Deaf Community - Progress Report

At the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF), our mission has always been to empower the deaf community, ensuring they are not left behind in education, employment, and social opportunities. Over the past months, we have witnessed inspiring stories of resilience and progress among our beneficiaries. For instance, Fatima, a young deaf woman from Lahore, learned to sew independently through our vocational training program. Today, she not only supports her family but also inspires other deaf women in her neighborhood to pursue skill development.

Our team works tirelessly to create inclusive programs that address the specific needs of the deaf community. From awareness campaigns in schools and communities to providing assistive devices and vocational training, every initiative is designed to create meaningful and lasting impact. This approach has allowed many deaf individuals to step confidently into society, equipped with skills and knowledge to support themselves.

Looking ahead, DWAF is planning a special initiative for Qurbani Eid 2026, scheduled for May. This program will focus on providing direct support to deaf families who often face barriers in accessing meat and other essential resources during Eid. We are exploring ideas such as:

Community Qurbani Distribution: Partnering with local butchers and donors to ensure families of deaf individuals receive Qurbani meat directly at their homes.
Skill-based Involvement: Involving deaf youth in organizing and distributing Qurbani packages, giving them a sense of responsibility and active community participation.
Awareness Campaigns: Using this opportunity to educate the broader community about the challenges deaf people face, encouraging empathy and inclusion.
Fundraising Innovations: Launching matching donation campaigns online to increase reach and ensure more families benefit during the Eid festivities.

Our goal is to make Qurbani Eid 2026 not only a time of giving but also a platform for empowerment and inclusion for the deaf community. By combining direct assistance with skill-building and awareness, we hope to create a model that others can replicate, ensuring that no deaf individual is left behind during this important festival.

Eid Qurbani Aid for 100 Deaf Families

This Eid, Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) brought smiles, dignity, and inclusion to 100 deserving Deaf families through your kind support.

We are pleased to share that both cooked food and Qurbani meat were distributed to the most marginalized Deaf households—families who often struggle with financial hardship and limited access to community events.

A Day of Joy, Dignity & Togetherness

For many of our beneficiaries, Eid is usually a quiet day spent without celebration due to lack of resources. This year, things were beautifully different.

DWAF organized a special Eid gathering, where Deaf families came together, interacted, and enjoyed a festive environment. Children participated in fun games, families exchanged warm Eid greetings, and everyone felt seen, valued, and included.

We also distributed:

Freshly cooked Eid meals
Qurbani meat packs for home
Eid gifts for Deaf children
Refreshments for all participants

This celebration gave Deaf families a sense of belonging — a chance to celebrate Eid just like everyone else.
