Resource Centre for disabled kids in Kenya

Project Impact So Far

Parents and caregivers have expressed renewed hope as they see their children gaining confidence, social skills, and opportunities that were previously out of reach. Your donations are helping to reduce stigma and create pathways toward inclusion, dignity, and independence for these children.

Exciting News: Establishment of a Well-Being Centre
We are happy to share that plans are underway to establish a Well-Being Centre for Children with Disabilities and Their Families. This Centre will serve as a safe, inclusive space where children and caregivers can access:

• Therapy services (speech, occupational, and physiotherapy)

• Psychosocial support and counseling for families

• Parent training and peer support groups

• Inclusive play, learning, and life-skills activities

The Well-Being Centre will greatly enhance the sustainability of this project by providing consistent, holistic support beyond outreach activities. It will be a place of healing, growth, and empowerment for the 50 children we serve — and many more in the future.

Dear Donor,

Thank you for standing with us as we work toward establishing the Resource Centre for Disabilities. Although the project has not yet kicked off, your support is laying the foundation for what will soon become a life-changing space for children and families.

A Story of Hope
7 year-old Nathaniel lives with autism in Nairobi. His mother often shares how difficult it is to find affordable therapy services and learning materials. She dreams of a safe place where Nathaniel can receive therapy, play, and learn without stigma — while she connects with other parents facing similar challenges.

The upcoming Resource Centre is designed to be that place — offering therapy, inclusive education support, and a parent network for families.

Where We Are Now
We are still in the fundraising stage, but progress is underway:

• A location has been identified for the Centre.

• Local therapists and teachers are ready to volunteer their expertise once doors open.

• Our community needs assessment confirmed strong demand for therapy, learning aids, and caregiver support.

What’s Next
With adequate funding, we will:

• Build the space and equip it with therapy and learning tools.

• Launch therapy and learning support sessions for children.

• Begin caregiver support groups to reduce isolation and provide training.
