Succeeding in the Darkness - 2021
Planning for a Brighter Future - 2022
Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues:
As with all Thai schools during 2021, classes were disrupted throughout the year with a combination of online/in-class learning. We were deeply concerned about the negative impact this might have had on our children's education. However, as disrupted as it was, the children remained focused even when not in school. A routine was set while the children studied online, providing them with a sense of stability.
Our online approach was helped by hiring a full-time Child Care Specialist who continued to work closely with the children on their education and especially helping them develop life skills for their futures. At the end of the semester, we looked carefully at the grades and are happy to report that the children's grades have remained stable. Well done to the children and their teachers for all their hard work.
The foundation remains on lockdown to visitors to create a secure environment for our children and protect them from COVID. This lockdown has prevented us from arranging many fun activities for the children. Still, we needed to ensure that the children's health was a top priority as some are susceptible to illnesses given their current condition. As we move into 2022, we hope to re-open the project to visitors, but this will depend on the current level of COVID and variants.
At the beginning of the year, we partnered with GlobalGiving Foundation.GlobalGiving is a nonprofit Foundation that connects donors with grassroots projects worldwide. We connected with a global network of family, friends, and colleagues through persistent hard work and communication. With many supporters and several endowment funds based in the USA and UK, the LHPF raised a staggering 530,000 THAI BAHT. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank every one of our donors who believed in our work.
However, great or small, I assure you that raised money will provide our children with a happy, loving environment, ensuring that they continue to receive the best care possible. As a result of our successful campaign with GlobalGiving, we have become a full-time partner. This partnership means that they will actively work with us to raise our profile on a global scale.
As previously mentioned, we were lucky enough this year to receive several substantial donations. One such donation was greatly received from Living Waters Foundation based in Phuket. They generously provided a grant of 190,700 THAI BAHT, which will go towards the education of our children for the school year 2021 to 2022.
We received new arrivals at the foundation in early December was like a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's incredibly sad that families cannot or do not want the responsibility of looking after the children for one reason or another. We recently were tasked with caring for these two young brothers aged seven years old and his younger brother only two years old. We welcome them with open arms and hearts, and we will ensure that they become part of the Life Home Project Foundation's family, giving them the love and care that these two young, innocent boys truly deserve.
For more information on donating or asking about creating your legacy of giving, please email the LHPF at info@lphf.org or visit our website at www.lhpf.org. Please remember that all donations are tax-deductible.
Lastly, I would like to share my heartfelt thank you for enabling our children to feel valued and to realize that there are good people in the world who are happy to extend a helping hand. Our project is still active and is open to receiving additional donations - http://goto.gg/53380.
With you by our side, our village will only grow.
Yours truly,
