Dear friends,
We continue to be grateful for your steadfast support that has seen us keep our girls in high school this year. With your generous donations of $1266 and a $10,000 grant from Amplify Girls’ Education and Innovation Fund, we met our fundraising goal and gave high school scholarships to about 45 rural girls who would otherwise stay at home due to lack of school fees and essential supplies like school uniforms, sanitary/menstrual hygiene supplies and food.
Three of the girls shared their thoughts with the us;
“I am a form one student at St. Mark Obambo. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the scholarship support I am receiving from Riley Orton Foundation Org (ROF) since 2018.Taking care of 4 children has been a challenge to my single mother who has no stable job but the fact that ROF is now paying my fee, I am now at peace and my major duty now is to focus on my studies.”
“As an orphan, I didn’t think transiting to high school would be possible but I’d just like to personally extend my thanks to any of you there who have made a contribution to my scholarship fund.”
“I am a happy girl now!! At least my dreams have come true being the first member of the family to join high school. Some of my age mates get married off due to poverty,” a form one student at St. Mark Obambo Secondary sch.
Thank you very much for partnering with us to make high school education possible for these bright but needy girls.
Thank you
