In light of the lack of donations received from donors on the GlobalGiving fundraising platform, our committed team has diligently worked to initiate local campaigns for the STEM Hub Lab Project in Gboko, targeting schools to foster community engagement and assess participants' needs.
Since April 2024, workshops and training sessions have been conducted at God's Victory International Academy and Masetadi Academy Masaje in Gboko South and East. These workshops and training sessions have highlighted the importance of the STEM Hub Lab in rural communities, especially for girls studying sciences in secondary schools. These efforts have highlighted the significance of the STEM hub lab in rural communities, particularly for girls from marginalized backgrounds who are studying sciences (STEM) in secondary schools without access to practical experiments.
More than 200 girls have participated, all of whom have expressed gratitude for the opportunities the initiative presents, despite coming from underrepresented or minority groups.
We urge individuals, international funders, and philanthropists to take advantage of the matching funds in July 2024 to make donations, as every contribution will contribute to the realization of the project by providing STEM lab equipment for these girls to gain practical experience before pursuing STEM fields in universities.
