We continue to introduce children to the values of volunteering and active participation in community life.
This autumn, we organized a charity fair where children took part in volunteer activities and assisted in distributing humanitarian aid packages provided by UNICEF to community members in need.
Every day, many Ukrainian families face difficult life circumstances as a result of the war. Access to basic necessities remains critically important, especially for vulnerable groups. During the event, children, together with adult volunteers, helped distribute humanitarian aid packages containing essential items, ensuring that support reached everyone who needed it.
In addition, creative activities and educational workshops were organized for the children. Participants made candles and took part in other hands-on workshops, where they created items themselves, learned to work as a team, and developed their creativity. These activities not only created a warm and engaging atmosphere but also helped children better understand the value of teamwork and mutual support.
Under the supervision of coordinators, children learned the basics of volunteer work, communication with community members, and a responsible attitude toward collective efforts. They helped organize queues, guided people to distribution points, and contributed to maintaining a friendly and supportive environment throughout the event.
All activities took place in a safe and supportive setting. The event concluded with a shared dinner for children and volunteers, as well as the presentation of small gifts as a token of appreciation for their involvement and dedication.
Engaging children in volunteering from an early age fosters empathy, social responsibility, and civic awareness. Participation in humanitarian initiatives helps the younger generation understand the importance of solidarity and mutual support during times of crisis.
Such volunteer initiatives contribute to raising a generation that actively participates in community life and is ready to help others. By investing in children today, we are building a more united, safe, and humane society for tomorrow.
Support us in continuing this important work.
Your contribution will allow us to organize new initiatives, involve more children in volunteering, and expand humanitarian support for those who need it most. Together, we can do more.
