The Kharkiv region of Ukraine is a region bordering Russia, which is carrying out military aggression against Ukraine. "The League of Young Volunteers is a project for children that allows experienced adult volunteers to work with children, teach them the basics of volunteering, and promote their cohesion and communication. The purchase of passenger minibuses will help to involve children from the de-occupied territories in this project and, if necessary, evacuate them to a safe place.
There is a great need for minibuses. Our foundation has a large project based on a bomb shelter for children aged 10 to 17, which covers Kharkiv and Kharkiv region (31 thousand kilometers). Due to the proximity to the aggressor country and constant shelling, our children do not have the opportunity to fully study, develop and communicate. By participating in the project, children gain first aid skills, mine safety knowledge, and engage in community service to help vulnerable populations.
Thanks to the minibuses, we will be able to cover a larger area of our region, involve many more children in the project and help them. Due to the constant shelling of our region, we will be able to use the minibuses not only to transport children, but also as evacuation vehicles.
In the long term, the minibuses will be used throughout the wartime period in the country, both in our project and in the evacuation process. After peace returns to our country, these minibuses will be used to transport children from the region to schools, sports facilities, fairs and other events useful for children.
