Dear Supporter,
Thanks to your amazing generosity, we are now in touching distance of our project goal, just 800$ more to go. We want to sincerely thank all of our donors, big and small, for your contributions. If you have friends, family or colleagues that are interested in supporting conservation and childhood education, let them know about The FIGS Club. Together we can reach our fundraising goal.
The team have been busy over the last quarter. We have engaged provincial and national stakeholders and are in discussions about rolling out a wider program that will improve the lives of children across PNG. We are most excited about discussions with partner organisations that support People Living with Disabilities (PLWD). We are working to create a FIGS Club project that is accessible to children in the blind community and living with other sensory conditions. We believe that education should be available to all children.
The team has also been working on creating a new teaching space at our headquarters which can host education events for local schoolchildren. This will include a new insect museum and herbarium. This development would allow us to reach several local schools through one-day environmental programs and school field trips.
We cannot overstate the importance of your role in supporting The FIGS Club. None of these developments would be possible if it wasn’t for your support. You gave us the confidence to grow our program and find ways we can reach more children. The FIGS Club is shaping up to be one of the cornerstones of youth environmental education in PNG. Thank you for being a part of this life-changing project.
