Several days after the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting, AIW reached out to the counselors and the traumatized children of Newtown Ct. AIW donated 500 Comfort Penguins. Our "Therapeutic Penguins" were passed out by local counselors to children in need. We received overwhelming responses regarding how therapeutically-healing our crisis penguin was from counselors and parents who's children suffered through one of America's darkest tragedies. Foster Care Children Need Our Comfort Penguin Too!
Do You Remember Your Favorite Stuff Toy or Blanket? Studies have shown how comforting and therapeutic a stuff toy or a blanket can be to any child. We developed our Comfort Penguin for foster care children in crises. Too many children enter into foster care without their siblings, toys or comfort items. Foster children are tossed into numerous homes and schools. The fact is when a child enters into foster care they enter into a crisis and need a therapeutic toy that will comfort and heal them.
Please read the numerous "Testimonials" on how Therapeutic AIW's Comfort Penguins are from our website under "Cory Project". Here is one of the testimonials from a Newtown Parent: You nurses are truly angels on earth! My son got Cory your crisis penguin last week and has been sleeping through the night from the time he got him tightly clinched in his arms! This is the first time he has slept since the Sandy Hood tragedy. Words cannot thank you enough for sending these amazing crisis penguin!
I am a mom of a 3rd grader at Sandy Hook School who received a Cory the Penguin. I just wanted to send you a huge, warm thank you for getting the penguins to us. My daughter snuggles with Cory every night and I believe he is helping her sleep better! She like so many of the children has been having difficulty when bedtime arrives, but having Cory eases that fear, and so I just wanted to thank you! It's Our Wish To Get More Comfort Penguins Manufactured To Help Comfort & Heal Our Foster Children.
