The Boys Concern Project Report: Quarter 3

During the third quarter of 2025, Men of Honour continued implementing the Boys Concern Project, which uses the evidence-based Coaching Boys Into Men curriculum developed by Futures Without Violence. The program focuses on promoting healthy relationships, gender equity, and positive masculinity among adolescent boys and young men through guided mentorship and dialogue.

Over the reporting period, two groups of boys successfully participated in the programme. A total of 56 boys completed the curriculum, each attending at least 10 out of the 12 structured sessions delivered by trained facilitators. Through these sessions, participants engaged in discussions and activities that addressed topics such as respect and personal responsibility, understanding consent, healthy versus abusive behaviors, communication and conflict management, digital respect, and the importance of mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The sessions created safe spaces where boys could openly reflect on their attitudes and behaviours while developing practical skills to build respectful relationships and make responsible decisions. Participants demonstrated increased awareness of gender equality, improved understanding of consent and boundaries, and stronger commitment to respectful behaviour toward girls and women.

Despite these achievements, the programme faced several challenges during the quarter. Limited financial resources restricted our ability to reach more vulnerable boys within the communities we serve. Additionally, resource constraints made it difficult to organize stakeholder engagement meetings that are essential for strengthening partnerships with schools, community leaders, and other local actors who play an important role in supporting boys’ development.

Looking ahead, Men of Honour remains committed to expanding the Boys Concern Project. Subject to the availability of resources, the organisation plans to extend the programme to schools while continuing community-based sessions. Strengthening partnerships and scaling outreach will enable us to reach more boys with mentorship, guidance, and the skills needed to become responsible, respectful young men.

We remain grateful for the continued support of donors and partners who make this work possible and help us build safer, healthier communities.
