Dear Leadership Initiatives Donor,
This year marks one of the most ambitious and inspiring chapters in Leadership Initiatives’ history. Across the communities of Buli, Bayara-South, and Dungal, our programs are connecting more people, resources, and opportunities than ever before. We are partnering with 60 business owners, making this our largest cohort to date, and expanding efforts in public health and advocacy to build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.
Each team of interns is paired with a local entrepreneur, public health worker, or community advocate to identify real challenges and design practical solutions. Together, they are conducting baseline surveys to better understand access to clean water, healthcare, education, and income opportunities. These surveys give residents a chance to share their stories and guide the direction of future programs so that every initiative reflects local priorities and lived realities.
Our business development teams are helping entrepreneurs strengthen their foundations through SWOT analyses, branding proposals, and targeted growth strategies. Many of our partners earn less than fifty dollars a month to support their entire families, so even small improvements—such as a new logo, better marketing, or clearer financial tracking—can create lasting change.
At the same time, public health teams are working to identify barriers to care and raise awareness about preventable diseases, while advocacy teams are empowering youth, women, and community leaders to speak out about issues affecting their daily lives. Together, these combined efforts are creating progress that extends beyond one business or one workshop, building the groundwork for long-term community transformation.
Your generosity fuels every part of this work. Donations support business training, survey materials, health education, advocacy workshops, and transportation for field staff who travel deep into rural areas to reach those most in need. Most importantly, your support ensures that individuals in Buli, Bayara-South, and Dungal have a voice in shaping their future and the tools to make it possible.
With gratitude,
Marshall Bailly
