Mulodi Thusani Drop in Centre is located in a rural area called Mulodi Village found in South Africa. It provides care to 312 vulnerable and orphan children, it encourages children to study, protect them from abuse. We also provide food parcels(fully balanced meal once per day) to family headed by orphan children and they now have access to education. We also engage them in sports. We have a site with no building and plan to build our own in the future since we are operating in a church.
The challenge is that those orphans we provide meal for, they don't eat during the night since there is no one to provide food for them, also when the children loose their parents they are left with nobody to care for them. There are no shelters for the orphans since we find close to 6 children living in a 2roomed house without a proper window. Between the volunteers of the organisation, they don't get paid and that result to the management providing for them with food packages
If we get a building of our own then we will be able to solve the problem by providing shelter to all the children that stay in an unsuitable place. And we will also provide food atleast 3 times a day. Care takers will also get some amount of money to feed their family.
Permanent Jobs will be created for the caretakers, and in the future we will also help children who completed their school with the applications for bursaries. Poverty will decrease since we will provide mini groceries every month. We will also employ more care takers. There will be risen stars in sports because we engage them in different sports activities
