Every winter, countless families in Syria face the bitter cold without proper shelter or heating. Mothers struggle to keep their children warm in fragile homes with thin walls and no income to afford fuel or clothing. This project provides essential winter assistance-blankets, safe stoves, warm clothes, and heating fuel-to protect families from the cold and restore hope during the harshest season of the year.
The cold season deepens the suffering of families already living on the edge of survival. Many rely on damaged homes or temporary shelters that cannot keep out freezing winds and rain. With fuel prices rising sharply, parents are forced to burn unsafe materials to stay warm, putting their children's health at risk. Illness spreads quickly, schools remain unheated, and daily life becomes a struggle against the cold.
This project delivers urgent winter relief to families in Rural Damascus and nearby communities, focusing on the most vulnerable: widowed mothers, children, and low-income or displaced families. Each household receives a complete winter kit containing warm clothing, thermal blankets, heating fuel, and safe stoves. In some areas, small cash or voucher assistance is also provided, empowering mothers to choose what their children need most to stay warm and safe.
Beyond providing warmth, this project helps rebuild strength and dignity within struggling families. When children stay healthy and warm, they can attend school and continue their education. When mothers are supported, they regain confidence to care for their families and rebuild their lives. By protecting the most vulnerable this winter, we create lasting impact-restoring stability, hope, and the belief that compassion still changes lives.
