The 12 Days of Christmas fundraising campaign seeks to highlight and fully fund 12 wheelchairs for 12 beneficiaries over the Christmas period. Give the best Christmas gift of all, the Gift of Movement.
There are thousands of South Africans who sadly have lost their independence due to diseases, illnesses, or complications from birth. We are here to help these important people receive their mobility back and get them to become invaluable members of the community once more. Help us Give the Gift of Movement in the form of a wheelchair and help the beneficiary go to school, back to work, and take some of the pressure off of the families looking after them.
This project will help keep our initiative alive and help us provide much-needed wheelchairs to those in need. Our beneficiaries do not have the means or funds to purchase their own wheelchairs and thus we rely on the kind hearts of others to help us fund the wheelchairs. We collect bottle tops and bread tags in South Africa to reduce the amount of pollution and use these funds from recycling to purchase wheelchairs.
In providing wheelchairs to the beneficiaries we are helping them gain the freedom many of us take for granted! Past beneficiaries have been able to go back to school to get an education, or go to the clinic for check-ups, gain employment, and simply be less reliant on others to get around. Donations will greatly supplement the funding received from our recycling efforts in providing these much-needed wheelchairs.
