Over the past several years, The Cambodian Children's House of Peace, founded in 2008, has experienced funding shortages that threaten the ability to feed, clothe and educate the children. As with any family, a dependable monthly budget is needed to assure a sustained ability to meet their basic needs. The solution is to acquire a sufficient number of monthly donors, many people giving a modest amount each month.
Over the course of the past several years, the original children graduated from the children's home, taking with them the skills for performing Traditional Khmer Dancing, which was a significant source of new Friends and Donors. With no opportunity to interact with guests, funding levels fell. This creates a monthly crisis for assuring that the basic needs of 15 children are met.
50 donors at $30/month, OR 30 donors at $50/month, added to the current monthly donations of $500 would provide the sustaining budget needed. The current matching fund campaign would double the impact of the monthly donations up to $200 per donor. This would provide an immediate boost, and the continuing monthly donations would assure sustainability.
Once the children's home achieves sustainability for the current 15 children, additional fundraising would enable providing for 10 more poor countryside children, affording them an opportunity to get an education that will benefit their families and their communities.
