A New Chapter for the MCCF Children

By Victoria Spencer | President of Save Children of Mbale

Roofing for new home purchased

The time has come for MCCF to leave the land that the children have called home for the past eight years.

Although construction of the new MCCF home is not yet complete, the children must evacuate the current property by the end of September. This is a difficult transition for the children and everyone who has worked so hard to provide them with a stable home.

Until the new home is ready, the children will be temporarily divided among three safe and caring homes: Tony’s mother will welcome some of the children into her family home, Brenda—an MCCF board member and President of Ethical Vegan—will care for others with her family, and one of Brenda’s friends has also generously opened her home to the children.

To help make this transition as comfortable as possible, we are providing new mattresses, blankets, and larger cooking saucepans so that the families can properly accommodate and care for the children. Donations will also help provide food and other essential necessities during this period.

We are deeply grateful for your continued faithfulness and support throughout these difficult times. Your generosity has helped MCCF continue caring for these children through challenges that we never anticipated.

We look forward to the day when construction can finally be completed and the children can return to a permanent home of their own—a safe, loving place where they can grow, learn, and thrive.

Thank you for continuing to believe in the children and in the future of MCCF.
