Sustainable livelihood for HIV/AIDS Positive Women

                    Grace Peter Charitable Trust has arranged a function for distributing four sewing machines to four HIV/AIDS positive poor women on 26 – 09 – 2012 at Training center, Grace Peter Charitable Trust, Madurai 625014. Mrs. Elsie Edwin Head of the Organization was presided over the function. Mrs. Dr. D. Jebapriya PhD., Assistant professor, Department of Management Studies, Government Arts College, Paramakudi has delivered special speech and distributed the four sewing machines to the following women:

1. Mrs. R. Selvi, She is living with HIV/AIDS positive woman. Her husband died due to HIV/AIDS infection. She is working as a daily wages with meager income Rs. 2500/- per month. She has one female child and a male child.
2. Mrs. C. Saraswathi, She is living with HIV/AIDS positive woman. Her husband died due to HIV/AIDS infection. She is working as a coolie with meager income Rs. 2000/- per month. She has two female children.
3. Mrs. K.Aayisha Beevi, She is living with HIV/AIDS positive woman. Her husband is also living with HIV/AIDS positive man. She has two female children and one male child living with HIV/AIDS. Her husband is working as a watchman in a private company with meager income Rs. 3000/ per month.

4. Mrs. P.Panjali is a 35 years old HIV/AIDS positive widow woman. Her husband died due HIV/AIDS infection. She has four female children. She is working as a housemaid with meager income Rs. 2100/- per month.

                                Grace Peter Charitable Trust has provided Sewing Machines to HIV/AIDS Positive Women with the help of Donations from the GiveIndia foundation for the Sustainable Livelihood for HIV/AIDS Positive Poor Women. The target women are earning more income by the use of Sewing Machine and so the target women and their family are happy. Hence the GiveIndia Donors removed the poverty of the four HIV/AIDS Positive Poor Women. We will provide Sewing machine for the remaining HIV/AIDS Positive Women in the Project’s Beneficiaries List.

She is maintaining her two children with the meager income. Grace Peter Charitable Trust has given a sewing machine to Mrs. G.Kanchana on 29/06/2012. Now she is happy and confident to run her family because of the higher income by the tailoring machine.  Mrs. G.Kanchana has received the Sewing Machine from the Chairperson, Grace Peter Charitable Trust, Madurai.
