Cocoa360’s Farm-for-Impact (FFI) model is helping tackle the challenges cocoa farming communities face in Ghana. Through this model, we provide free, quality education and healthcare to young girls in Tarkwa Breman. Families contribute labor on community-run cocoa farms, and revenue from these farms covers costs like books, uniforms, daily meals, and transport. Community members are also involved in decisions about the program, helping us shape it around their needs.
The C360 Education Access Initiative by Cocoa360 is a program aimed at overcoming barriers to education in rural cocoa communities, where poverty often makes schooling unattainable for many children. By providing essential items like uniforms, books, transportation, desks, and chairs for free, the initiative ensures that students can learn in a safe and supportive environment.
Impact Details:
360 students enrolled in tuition-free, quality education.
405 students engaged in summer school, supporting year-round learning.
Reduced school-going age from 7 to 3 years, enhancing early childhood development.
97% attendance rate, surpassing the rural average of 70%.
1:30 teacher-student ratio vs. rural norm of 1:87, enabling personalized education.
88% PTA participation—a testament to community commitment.
100% vaccination rate and expanded ICT programs ensuring comprehensive student wellness.
We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, and with the help of supporters like you, we’re working to remove the barriers that stand in their way. The good news is that we conducted a thorough screening process to select 30 new kindergarten students, giving even more children the chance to benefit from free education. With the addition of the 30 new students, our total enrollment has grown to 360 girls. This increase shows the impact and demand for quality education in our community.
As part of our commitment to easing educational costs, each student at Cocoa360 receives a free school uniform every year. This annual provision financially relieves families and fosters unity, pride, and a strong sense of student belonging. This year, as in previous years, students were delighted to receive their new uniforms, making them feel connected and confident in their education journey.
We couldn’t do this without your support! Your contributions make it possible to transform lives in Tarkwa Breman through education and healthcare.
Thank you for believing in Cocoa360’s mission and helping us make a lasting impact.
