The world urgently needs a change of direction in the use of natural resources, otherwise climate change will lead to a dramatic change in our livelihoods in the coming decades. We need examples of how to live regeneratively, and training centres to teach this. We are building up a training centre for sustainability to show solutions for the global problems. The centre will serve as a a reference point for locals for a sustainable life. Obrobibini Peace Complex (OPC) pursues a holistic approach.
The world urgently needs a change of direction in the use of natural resources, otherwise climate change will most probably lead to a dramatic change in our livelihoods in the coming decades. We need examples of how to live sustainably and regeneratively, and (vocational) training centres in which this practical training is taught.
To expand a training centre for sustainability in order to show solutions for global problems. The centre will serve as a reference point for the local population for a sustainable life, where they can expand their knowledge.
We ensure knowledge transfer and ownership by involving the target group strongly in the process throughout the entire project cycle. Through the workshops on the different themes of the project, we expect to raise their awareness and build capacity. This would lead to a sustainable change in the habits of the target group, which in turn could lead to improved health and employment. This would have a signal effect and thus improve the livelihoods and health of the communities as a whole.
