Avuxeni, Minjhani? Ni pfukile, minjani!

If you were to look back at our very beginning, you would have seen a simple, unassuming sight: just 13 children sitting on a stoop, eagerly learning about Scouts. We had no grand infrastructure—just a passion for youth leadership, a belief in the potential of our children, and a vision for community transformation.

Today, I am absolutely thrilled—and deeply humbled—to share a monumental milestone with our GlobalGiving family that shows just how far that vision has traveled in 23yrs. Thanks to your unwavering belief in our mission, our organization is now actively supporting and empowering over 10,000 people every single month!

Those 13 children on a stoop were the seed. Today, that seed has grown into a powerful ecosystem of community-led development, youth leadership, and structural transformation across the province. Reaching over 10,000 individuals monthly is not just a statistic; it represents thousands of children finding their voice, women building economic self-reliance, and communities taking charge of their own destinies.

What This Milestone Means on the Ground

True empowerment is never about creating dependency; it is about building robust, sustainable structures that allow people to thrive. Here is how your support is manifesting across our core focus areas each month:

  • Amplifying the Voice of the Child: Just like those first 13 children, thousands of youth are being empowered every month through our dedicated leadership and advocacy frameworks. They are learning essential life skills, understanding their rights, and becoming active citizens in their communities.

  • Advancing the Self-Help Group (SHG) Model: We are seeing incredible momentum as our community groups mature. By equipping women with the financial and operational structures to manage resources collectively, we are moving closer to our vision of fully independent, community-led federations.

  • Fostering Long-Term Sustainability: From youth leadership camps to sustainable local initiatives, we are continuously working to ensure that our models transition into robust, self-sustaining frameworks that will support the next generation.

Building a Legacy of Strong Stewardship

As any mature leader knows, scaling from 13 children to 10,000 people a month requires deep structural stability. This expansion has only been possible because we have rigorously fortified our internal foundations. Over the past year, we have intentionally focused on:

  • Strengthening our organizational governance and financial internal controls.

  • Implementing multi-tier accountability and standard operating workflows to prevent single points of failure.

  • Ensuring every donor dollar is backed by total transparency and robust risk management.

Like a team pulling together toward a shared goal, our staff, board, volunteers, and community members have aligned beautifully to make this expansion possible. We are building a vision and a future that is truly larger than any single one of us.

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter

We celebrate this milestone not as a finish line, but as a launchpad. With 10,000 lives impacted monthly, our operational capacity is stronger than ever, and our commitment to navigating this growth with integrity remains unshakeable.

Thank you for standing with us, for investing in our leadership, and for being the fuel behind this incredible journey of transformation from a local stoop to a province-wide movement. Together, we are ensuring that the dream continues to grow, flourish, and endure.

With deep gratitude and hope,

Louise
