Project Report: Empowering Vulnerable Youths in Nigeria.
This project focused on empowering vulnerable youths aged 15–24 across selected communities in Nigeria by strengthening their skills, opportunities, and voices. Between October and December, the project delivered skills training in digital literacy, vocational areas such as tailoring, and basic entrepreneurship. Mentorship sessions were also conducted, offering career guidance, life skills development, and personal growth support. In addition, community outreach activities raised awareness on youth rights and inclusion. Overall, more than 45 youths participated, with about 70 percent reporting increased skills, confidence, and readiness for economic opportunities. Key challenges included limited funding and poor internet connectivity in rural areas, which affected training delivery. The next phase will focus on scaling up trainings and partnering with local government institutions to support job placements and sustainable youth employment opportunities.
