Happy summer and thank you for your support of Poured Out!
Wanted to let you know all the happenings in Haiti this quarter! We were able to send our board member Conner, to Haiti with some needed supplies in June. This was our first trip back in a few years due to the instability and difficulty of getting to Haiti. While the travel was quite brutal, the trip went really well and it was so nice to see the staff in person and also watch Haiti in the world cup while there!
On the Water House front- we are currently building a Water House in the community of Kayet that we can now finish due to the supplies Conner took down. This Water House will be in celebration of the life of one of our long-term volunteers Dana Butterfield. Dana passed away from cancer in May and we decided that to honor her work and legacy that this Water House will be in her honor. Pictures to come of the completed build and many thanks to Dana and her amazing work over the years for Poured Out. We cannot even begin to name the countless people she served and she will be with us always.
The staff are doing well and completing some re-installations of biosand filters for a few families this month. We are looking forward to getting more updates and hopefully another trip soon!
Thank you so much for all you do for Poured Out!
