Support Ukraine in Need with Nordic SOS

This report summarizes the activities carried out by Nordic SOS Ukraine during the period from October to December 2025.

During these months, our organization continued its voluntary humanitarian efforts in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine. The focus of our work was on collecting and delivering essential supplies, supporting transport and logistics and participating in fundraising initiatives. All activities described in this report were carried out on a voluntary basis and made possible through the support of donors, partners, and engaged community members.

During October and November 2025, Nordic SOS Ukraine continued its voluntary humanitarian work in support of civilians and frontline needs in Ukraine. Throughout this period, our activities focused on collecting essential supplies, supporting logistics and transport, participating in fundraising initiatives, and contributing to humanitarian needs. All our work is carried out on a voluntary basis, without salaries, and depends entirely on donations, partnerships, and community engagement.

On Saturday, 1 November 2025, Nordic SOS Ukraine participated in the charity event “Ukrainian Evening” aboard M/S Sandnes in Stavanger. The event was organized by Norsk Ukrainsk Støtteforening Trident, the Ukrainian Association in Rogaland, and Nattruten M/S Sandnes, and brought together more than 100 guests along with a large group of dedicated volunteers. The evening was marked by strong solidarity, community spirit, and meaningful cultural experiences. Guests were served a four-course Ukrainian dinner and heard powerful speeches from individuals closely connected to frontline humanitarian efforts, including Hans Hermansen. The program also featured moving musical performances by the Ukrainian vocal ensemble Mrija. A charity auction raised significant funds for humanitarian aid in Ukraine, with all proceeds directed toward aid efforts, particularly the urgent need to secure evacuation transport for the Rubizh Brigade.

Throughout October and November 2025, Nordic SOS Ukraine carried out extensive collection efforts for humanitarian supplies, including clothing, shoes, bedding, duvets, bandages, plasters, and other essential items. These efforts culminated in several deliveries in early December.

On Saturday, 6 December 2025, a fully loaded vehicle was delivered to Ukrainahjelpen v/ Klippen in Sandnes. The delivery included donated clothes, shoes, duvets, bedding, bandages, plasters, and other essential supplies. Ukrainahjelpen v/ Klippen ensures safe onward transport of all donated goods into Ukraine and their distribution to families in need.

In addition to donated goods, Nordic SOS Ukraine purchased 36 new warm blankets. These blankets are being sent to families facing a harsh winter with limited electricity and cold temperatures. At the same time, we also purchased 200 Christmas stockings filled with sweets for children in Ukraine. While small in size, these gifts are intended to create moments of joy and provide a sense of normality for children living under the constant strain of war.

On 4 December 2025, Nordic SOS Ukraine also received a valuable donation from Brodd Fotball Stavanger. The donation consisted of football kits and shoes, which will be sent to children in Ukraine. Such contributions are of great importance, both in meeting everyday needs and in providing joy, dignity, and a sense of normal childhood activities for children affected by the war.

Ukrainahjelpen v/ Klippen is responsible for the onward transport of all humanitarian aid, and this involves significant costs. Nordic SOS Ukraine therefore also contributes financially to help cover part of the transportation expenses, ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most.

The year 2025 has once again shown that the war in Ukraine continues with undiminished intensity. Nordic SOS Ukraine remains committed to continuing its humanitarian work throughout 2026. All activities are carried out voluntarily and without compensation, and we are deeply grateful for all donations and support received during 2025.

Nordic SOS Ukraine – Summer/Autumn 2025

The war in Ukraine continues with full force, and the humanitarian needs remain overwhelming. Every day, millions of people live with fear, uncertainty, and a lack of basic necessities. In this reality, Nordic SOS Ukraine works to make a difference — step by step — through practical aid, collections, financial contributions, and close cooperation with local partners.

Our activities during this period

From June to September 2025, we focused mainly on collecting and delivering essential items to support families in Ukraine. The collections included:

• Clothing for children and adults
• Shoes
• Quilts, blankets, and bedding

All donations were delivered to our partner, Ukrainahjelpen at Klippen, who ensured that the items were safely transported into Ukraine. This partnership guarantees that aid reaches the people who need it most — often in small towns and villages that receive little or no help from larger organizations.

In addition to private donations, we were very grateful to receive new clothes donated directly from a store in Stavanger. Support from local businesses like this strengthens our work and allows us to provide high-quality clothing to people in need.

We also contributed financial support to Ukrainahjelpen at Klippen to help cover the transport costs of aid shipments into Ukraine. Ensuring that supplies reach their final destination is a critical part of our mission, and we are thankful to be able to support this process both with goods and funding.

The impact of your support

The feedback we receive from our partners is clear: the aid arrives, and it makes a real difference.

• A child receiving warm clothes for the winter.
• A family who has lost everything finding comfort in fresh bedding.
• Shoes for those who must walk long distances in harsh conditions.

These may seem like small things, but for people living in war zones, they provide dignity, hope, and the assurance that they are not forgotten.

Preparing for winter

As autumn turns into winter, the need for warm clothing and bedding becomes even more urgent. Winters in Ukraine are long and harsh, with temperatures far below freezing. For families living in damaged homes, shelters, or temporary housing, the cold can be life-threatening.

That is why we will continue our collections in the coming months with a special focus on winter clothing, blankets, and other items that provide warmth and protection. We know from previous years that the demand for these supplies increases dramatically as the cold sets in.

Voluntary work and financial framework

All of our work is carried out on a 100% voluntary basis. No one in our team receives a salary — everything we do is driven by compassion and the desire to help.

Our only source of funding is donations from individuals, businesses, and platforms such as GlobalGiving. Unfortunately, we have seen a decline in financial contributions recently, which makes it more challenging to maintain the same level of activity as before. Still, we remain determined: every single donation, big or small, allows us to continue.

We are especially thankful for the support we have received from local businesses, whose contributions show that companies, just like individuals, can make a real difference in the lives of people in Ukraine.

Looking ahead

As long as the war continues, so will the need for support. We plan to:

• Continue collecting clothing and essential supplies
• Focus especially on winter aid in the coming months
• Support the transportation of aid shipments financially when possible
• Strengthen our partnerships to ensure efficient distribution
• Expand our activities where resources allow
