A gift to this project WILL change the life for a young child on the streets of Uganda. Our team work on limited funds as our work is 100% funded by donations only. We work with children of all ages to help bring them off the street and into a community group for change. Offering shelter, accommodation, dance, education, sport and other activities to help these children develop. Our long term aim is to build a creative centre in the community where the children can come, learn and be safe.
Uganda has the youngest population in the world with 46.02% aged below 14 years and in the community we work there is over 5,000 children aged 7 - 20 that have been abandoned or are orphans living on the streets. The streets is a tough world and many knock on our door or that we meet when we are out and about want to learn, want an education and want shelter but we simply don't have the funds for all these children. Our team meet children as young as 6 years old exposed to drugs.
With a gift of every donation we can do a little bit more to save another child. Our focus are on children under the age of 10 that have been exposed to drugs and getting these children into our rehab centre. We also have a small centre that we want to convert to a big skills centre in the future for these children to come stay in the hostel and be educated or join a creative course. With your support we will get these children off the streets of Uganda.
Providing a safe shelter and a creative learning environment we will be able to tackle many global issues that these children face if left alone on the street at such a young age.
