This project aims to improve access to, retention in, and completion of primary education for vulnerable girls in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Results achieved: 150 vulnerable girls were monitored and their academic performance improved; 150 vulnerable girls received textbooks and school supplies; and the school fees of 150 vulnerable girls were covered.
In addition, this project aims to: a) support actions carried out by women victims of rape and sexual violence and community actors to promote the educational and social integration of orphaned and vulnerable girls who are members of families of women victims of rape and sexual violence and displaced by war; b) ensure comprehensive secondary education coverage for orphaned and vulnerable girls who are members of families of women victims of rape and sexual violence: school fees, school supplies, uniforms, and access to health insurance;
