The project aims to improve access, retention, and completion of primary education for vulnerable girls in eastern DR Congo.
What we have achieved: 150 vulnerable girls were monitored and their academic performance improved; 150 vulnerable girls received textbooks and school supplies; and school fees were covered for 150 vulnerable girls.
In addition, this project will (a) support the actions carried out by women victims of rape and sexual violence and community actors to promote the educational and social integration of orphaned and vulnerable girls who are members of families of women victims of rape and sexual violence and displaced by war; (b) ensure full coverage of secondary school education for orphaned and vulnerable girls who are members of families of women victims of rape and sexual violence: tuition fees, school supplies, uniforms, and access to health insurance;
