Geek Girls LatAm promotes diversity, inclusion and gender equity so that women in the creative, scientific and technological areas enhance their opportunities and leadership. As a social company, it works with female talent, promoting values such as leadership, talent, collaboration, sisterhood and service to fulfill its objectives. We consolidated a team of Women with Talent and Heart to continue contributing to the fulfillment of the 2030 SDGs.
Our TALENTS 4.0 program promotes virtual training and strengthens knowledge in the areas of STEAM, soft skills, business and languages under community learning, peer to peer, of young Latin American women in the careers of the future or also called careers 4.0, where we seek to increase the percentage of female workers in the technology industry, which at the moment is barely 15%.
Our Talents 4.0 Program is developed to accompany women during 3-month cohorts in their training for future careers with retention and motivation strategies, an agenda of academic activities that strengthen autonomous and social learning for a successful learning process in the community and by knowledge tribes. Around 40 related courses were selected in each collection for a total of 7 collections and more than 280 courses sponsored by our Corporation and with the support of Coursera.
We plan to impact 150 young women from all over Latinoamerica with our program in 3 different cohorts of three months each. With these funds, we will cover all expenses related to personnel, advertisement, motivation, retention, and community engagement strategies implemented to reach more than 90% effectiveness.
