February 24, 2024 will mark two years since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. As the war rages on, we are seeing emergency after emergency within an ongoing crisis. Amid a devastating winter, successive civilian disasters and emergencies are destroying lives and infrastructure, leaving Ukrainian communities more vulnerable. Needs are particularly severe in southern and eastern Ukraine, which struggled with limited resources, remoteness, and underdeveloped infrastructure even before the current conflict began.
IsraAID has been on the ground since the very first days of the war, providing humanitarian aid to conflict-affected communities. In partnership with national and regional governments, community institutions, and NGOs, we are supporting thousands of refugees, internally displaced people, children, elderly people, and other vulnerable populations. Our programs meet urgent and ongoing needs in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); healthcare; protection; and education. Simultaneously, we are leading long-term recovery efforts.
We have delivered powerful impact to date, including:
As we reach this grim milestone,15 million people in Ukraine are still in need of humanitarian assistance. Ongoing crises need an ongoing response and IsraAID is committed to responding to changing needs on the ground. As Ukrainians endure, we endure with them. That is the commitment we make, together. Thank you for your support!
