Warm greetings from Face Up Generation Aid Organization (FUGAO).

We are pleased to share our latest progress report for the project, “Supporting Kidney Patients & Dialysis Care (#72117)”. This initiative is dedicated to improving access to life-saving dialysis treatment and enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable kidney patients in Ethiopia.

At a time when access to affordable dialysis care remains a critical challenge, this project continues to provide hope, medical support, and dignity to patients in need.

Project Overview

Over the past quarter, our efforts have focused on:

• Supporting dialysis treatment access
• Providing patient care and assistance
• Raising awareness about kidney health

Our mission is clear:

To save lives by improving access to dialysis care and supporting kidney patients through compassionate and sustainable interventions.

Progress So Far (February – April 2026)

The project has been implemented in Addis Ababa and surrounding areas, reaching:

• Kidney patients requiring regular dialysis
• Low-income families affected by chronic illness
• Healthcare facilities and medical staff

Through targeted interventions, we are helping patients receive consistent and life-saving treatment.

Major Achievements

1. Dialysis Treatment Support

• Supported multiple patients with dialysis session costs
• Improved access to regular and uninterrupted treatment
• Reduced financial burden on vulnerable families

2. Patient Care & Medical Assistance

• Provided essential medical support and follow-up
• Assisted patients with transportation and treatment logistics
• Strengthened coordination with healthcare providers

3. Awareness & Community Engagement

• Raised awareness about kidney disease prevention and management
• Engaged families and caregivers in patient support
• Promoted early health-seeking behavior

What’s next? (May – July 2026)

In the coming months, FUGAO plans to:

• Expand dialysis support to more patients
• Strengthen partnerships with healthcare providers
• Increase awareness on kidney disease prevention
• Mobilize additional resources for patient care
• Improve follow-up and monitoring systems

This project promotes long-term impact by:

By 2030, FUGAO aims to expand life-saving healthcare support services across Ethiopia.
