Challenge

Displaced women in Miti, Kabare Territory face poor living conditions due to forced displacement linked to security and humanitarian crises. They lack access to basic hygiene items such as soap, sanitary pads, and buckets, increasing risks of disease, infections, and social exclusion while affecting their dignity and well-being. The project responds by providing hygiene kits and strengthening knowledge of good hygiene and health practices.

Solution

The project will directly address the needs of displaced women in Miti by distributing hygiene kits containing essential items for personal and menstrual hygiene. It will also organize awareness sessions on good hygiene practices, disease prevention, and menstrual hygiene management. This approach will help reduce health risks, improve living conditions, strengthen dignity and protection, and enhance the well-being and resilience of beneficiaries in the face of the humanitarian crisis.

Long-Term Impact

In the long term, the project will improve the health, dignity, and living conditions of displaced women in Miti. Providing hygiene kits and promoting good hygiene practices will reduce hygiene-related diseases and strengthen preventive behaviors in households. Awareness sessions will support lasting behavior change within families and the community, enhancing resilience to humanitarian crises and improving the protection of women and girls over time.
