Palm University Foundation provides scholarships to students attending Palm University. Palm University is a liberal university in Ghana committed to educating ethical and excellent leaders in Ghana through academic programs that emphasize ethical leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship. Palm University is dedicated to producing educated, ethical leaders who would deal with the menace of African corruption. Over 90% of Palm students come from rural Ghana and Africa.
A majority of young people in Ghana do not have access to higher education beyond Senior High School. Those that do attend training college or university, often graduate without the necessary skills and tools needed to be successful in professional industries. Classes and courses are taught using rote memorization and focus primarily on Western applications of business that are not always applicable to Ghana and Africa.
Palm University focuses on providing hands-on teaching and learning in Ghana. We run 3 accredited degree programs; BSc. Computer Science, BSc. Business Information Technology and BSc. Administration and 2 associate degree programs in Business Administration and Business Information Technology. The programs are designed to be interactive and hands-on, with a strong focus on ethical leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship, preparing students for industry and launching their businesses.
Palm University will prepare and graduate students who are ready for industry and entrepreneurship. Palm graduates will acquire the necessary skills to lead not only in their businesses and professional lives, but in their communities as well. We provide scholarships to students in Ghana, (urban and rural Ghanaian communities) to ensure that our mission of "Educating Ethical and Excellent Leaders" reaches as many individuals and communities as possible.
