Progress Update
By Lulseged Yimer | Executive Director
Our team remained actively engaged with community members, local authorities, and partner organizations to ensure that project activities continued effectively and that vulnerable families received the support they needed. By maintaining our organizational capacity, this contribution through the GG helped position us to pursue and secure funding opportunities from other partners, ultimately multiplying its impact.
We are sincerely grateful to our GlobalGiving donors for your trust and generosity. While the financial contribution may seem small, it has served as a catalyst for sustaining our mission and strengthening our ability to attract additional support. Your investment helps keep our organization active, resilient, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

Sustaining Our Team to Support Communities
By Mahlete Yared, MD | Program Manager
Even though the support received through GlobalGiving was $210 USD, it has made a meaningful difference in helping us sustain our dedicated staff and continue serving vulnerable communities. This contribution has helped our team coordinate and carry out project activities while staying closely connected with the people who rely on our support.
Since the last report, our staff have been actively engaged with community members and local partners, ensuring ongoing activities run smoothly and assistance reaches those in need. Every contribution, including this one, helps us remain present and responsive to the needs of families and individuals.
We are deeply grateful to our GlobalGiving donors. Your support strengthens our ability to continue this important work and truly helps us make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Continuing AISDA's Leadership & Refugee Support
By Mahlete Yared, MD | Program Quality Assurance Advisor/ Program Manager
We deeply appreciate our supporters commitment to the well-being of displaced children in the Afar Region of Ethiopia. Your support is vital to helping AISDA sustain education and protection services for children affected by conflict and displacement.
To date, $210 USD has been raised through GlobalGiving. While we are grateful for every contribution, no funds have been spent so far, as we are ensuring that any future allocation supports the project strategically and at a scale that maximizes effectiveness and impact.
The 13,445 displaced and refugee children this project aims to support continue to face significant educational disruption. AISDA is actively working to secure additional resources and partnerships so that once funding is adequate, we can restore classrooms, provide learning materials, retain key teachers, and create safe learning environments.
We remain committed to transparency and to using every donation responsibly to maximize impact. Your support continues to bring hope and stability to children and communities in urgent need.
With gratitude,
The AISDA Team
