This project aims to raise funds for the purchase of musical instruments for the Municipal Music School of Villa de San Antonio in Honduras. It currently serves 55 children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18, offering free piano, violin, percussion and flute classes. This school aims to teach music, values and the strengthening of self-esteem, to contribute to the education of children and young people from the municipality and nearby communities.
The Municipal School of Music does not have resources that allow it to acquire more musical instruments, the instruments they have have been mostly donated. The children who attend this school and their families do not have the economic resources to buy their own instruments. In summer, the school expects to serve 80 new children and young people, and more musical instruments will be needed.
Through this initiative we hope to raise the necessary funds to buy more musical instruments for the children and young people of the municipality of Villa de San Antonio and that the music school can provide more opportunities to children and young people interested in learning to play an instrument. music and make more positive use of their free time.
The acquisition of more musical instruments will allow the school to serve a 80 new students. This support will provide greater opportunities for learning music, values and strengthening of self-esteem and the development of resilience to children and young people with limited resources, who will also make more positive use of their free time and will serve to prevent school dropout.
