At uHub, through our "Inclusive and Enterprising" program, we are dedicated to empower people with different disabilities to transform their business ideas into tangible and successful realities. Our commitment is to provide an inclusive and supportive environment that fosters creativity, innovation and economic independence for our participants.
In Mexico, within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, only 5.8% of entrepreneurs recognize themselves as people with disabilities. In Chihuahua, 6.1% of the population has a disability. Many face difficulties in finding employment due to discrimination and accessibility issues in the workplace. And those who aspire to start a business but lack business skills experience higher unemployment rates. This dependence on caregivers further hinders the path to independence for people with disabilities.
The "Including and Entrepreneurship" program supports entrepreneurs by working in 3 different stages: mentality, discipline and leadership; the work is done through sessions on various topics, mentoring, specialized mentoring, talks with people from the world of entrepreneurship and checklists in which entrepreneurs must record their progress on each topic.
Enable individuals to develop strong and versatile entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to thrive in any economic or social situation they may face throughout their lives. By providing comprehensive training in key skills such as creativity, innovation, financial management and leadership, we seek to empower participants not only to achieve personal and professional success, but also to become engines of positive change within their communities.
